when i stop my truck and put it in park it will thump back at me:o: .

basically every now and then when i put my trans in park i felll like there is a guy with a small hammer that taps the flor board beneith my feet. is this normal or do i have problems???? aslo i feel a lille "kick" some times when i stop, like the trans is trying to shift to a new gear. should i be concerned or am i just obsesing on my new car with 772 miles!!!

Sounds like the same thing mine does. Pretty noticeable sometimes, doesn't seem to hurt anything.
I've got 65,000 on mine and it still thumps and still works fine.:driver:

Normal. Our trucks have big trannys. Its the park pawl. park pawl option is available on the Allison which securely locks the drivetrain, in park position.

Yeah, it's normal. The park pawl in your truck is a big piece of metal designed to hold a 30,000 pound vehicle. As a result it may make some noise when it engages.

Mine also worried me at first. It has gotten quieter. Sometimes still very loud coming out of reverse into park. I have 34k. Changed spin on at 3k the first time. Then fluid to transynd using hoots and spin on at 25k. Just got back from a road trip to Han****, NY via the NC Outer Banks and MD Eastern Shore 3900 miles. Slide on camper loaded GVW 11,500#s. Tow/haul all the way. This tranny is amazing. In the mountain I-81 through PA it would not even down shift going up hill at 65 to 70 mph, 1500-1700rpm. Going down it would automatically down shift to engine brake. My grin drove my wife crazy.
