Hey everybody, i have a ticking noise coming from the left (passanger) side. It from the engine but i don't know if it is from the valve train or the exhast manifold. You can only hear it if you are on the outside of the truck. If anyone else has had, or have, this problem please let me know it is starting to drive me nuts! thanks a head of time. -orin

fill out a sig with your truck info:mods, year, etc. so we can help better. most likely what you are experiencing is the normal duramax tick. nothing to be concerned with

My truck is a 2001 gmc 2500, no mods yet just got it about 4 months ago.

Go to the search and type ticking noise many posts on the ticking noise:saluteusa:

Like said above, it will fall under the typewriter behind the dash post or something like that.

You will find all kinds of reading on it, just do the search.
