OK any help is apprecaited, I have an 01 Chevy Daramax diesel with the allison tranny. About 91000 k. No modifications are done to the truck. But whens its cold the tranny tends to slipp, especially when slowing down and speeding up again it slips.


And also when I put it into park sometimes it makes a loud crunch like somethings ready to break.


and its also a pain to get it into 4 wheel drive sometimes.


Any help would be appreciated , So much talk about the Allison not impressed

You might have a transfer case problem. Plastic inserts on T/F forks might be worn out and keeping slider gear from engaging syncro ring all the way.
