This week I will be preparing my 2003 GMC 2500HD Crew/Long D/A for a long winter nap. The oil is coming due for change - should I do it before or after storage?
Any other suggestions for that long (indoor) nap?
Not sure about the truck, but I will have visions of Juice/Attitude, 4" exhaust, and air intakes dancing in my head. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
Fuel Conditioner in the Tank for sure.

Trickle charger on the batteries; on a timer for a couple hours daily.
Keep the tires up off wet dirt.
As EMSi mentioned, fuel conditioner/stabilizer. I'd also run at least a half tank of conditioned fuel through the truck before storage, then top off with more conditioned & stabilized fuel.
Drain water from fuel filter(s) before storage.
Wash the truck & undercarrige before storage.
I can't hink of anything else right now.

Dittos to gearhead and EMSi's suggestions. Also top off the fuel tank to prevent condensation.

gonna be inside or out??? If out id look into some light shaders to help protect the intrerior..might want to think of stashing some rat bait or moth balls at various different locations whether itll be in or out... cheap insuracne...

Thanks everyone http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif
Washed it already, treated the fuel, still need to change fuel filter and the oil. I will put the charger on the batteries, too. It will be inside pole building on concrete.
Wife usually gets her 2WD D**** stuck in the driveway during the winter, so I will have to get out the GMC to pull her out.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
