Can anyone explain the system Cummins uses to replace glow plugs

hoot 10-25-2004, 05:45 PM Easy..... there are no glow plugs. Just an intake heater. It's right on the drivers side of the engine where the intake plenum drops onto the head. You'll see a couple of big wires connected to it. A grid heater system is much more effective than a classic glow plug system. Not to mention reliability. Glow plugs will wear out by the nature of the environment they operate in. Grid heaters will last much, much longer. | ||
