Ok I have mods in sig. Went out fot the first "big trip" and truck and fiver weigh about 21000 loaded. I never let the boost over 12 psi and the egt depending upon the prm of the engine would run from 1350 tp 1200 most of the time. Boost was 7 psi to 10 psi while on the road, under accelleration I let it climb to 14 once. I'm really light footed with it cause I have never pulled with a d-max and it's a heavier trailer than my old one. I would like to "get on the pedal" more in the hills but don't want to limp the trani. Any input would be great what are your ###'s pulling thanks.

Never let the boost over 12psi??? How do you even accellerate??? :)

stock max boost is ~24. These engines can take 50+ psi before needing headstuds or anything. EGT's should be worried about much more than boost.... 1375 is the max rated continuous EGT for the duramax...I would not want to tow with it constantly over 1250 or so though...

and if you up your boost, it'll help blow those hot EGT's out.
I dont know how in the world you stayed under 12 PSI, even on the freeway cruising at 65 i hit a mild high side in the road and it goes to 15 psi on cruise control. You must have been CRAWLING up those hills.

X2 man. Just put that baby in tow haul mode and let her have it. Your just scratching the surface on what these trucks can really do.

My camper weighs in at around 20,000 LBS. 28-30 Lbs boost when pulling in the mountains. 5-6 Lbs boost in the flat lands. EGT's at 1200 degrees when blowing up a mountain pass. Usually, around 800 degrees when cruising.
