i have 40 60 bench seat with driver seat being power. the control to move the seat up or down for the rear part of the seat is not working, but the rest of the controls are. any ideas or does the dealer have to fix it.

Well, their is something you can try. Move the seat forward so you can gain access to the bottom back of the seat. On the right, you will see an external torx that goes through the linkage that runs moves the bottom up and down. Remove this screw and using a screwdriver turn the linkage back down some. and reinstall the screw. What has happened is the module lost the soft stop and the worm screw got driven all the way to the end of travel and locked up. The motor is not strong enough to do it on its own. Then you will want to check to see if you have your memory set so it will move the rear motor to this postion everytime. If it is, set it up some.
