do not know if it goes here but if not it will be moved...
First off I have been towing our TT the last few weeks and not driving it much without. I get 8.5-9.5 @ 55-70 MPH all the time (which SUCKS) I also have the predator on the tow tune, why does my dic say I only have 225 or miles to go before empty when I am filling it up and the tt is not attached and everything has been reset?? does it need to relearn the new miles remaining with out the trailer?? I average around 9 at all hwy speeds and my tt weights around 8 fully loaded

He said around 8,000 lbs and by the aviator it looks like a good sized toy hauller. I just got between 10 and 12 this week pulling my TT thats wieghs around 7500- 8000 lbs. and that was going between 67-72 the whole time. Your DIC will change after awhile as you drive when it tells you your range. If you are pulling your trailler and only getting around 9 mpg then it calculates that for your range but when you unhitch and your milage start going up then your range will slowly start going up. i f you reset your Dic after a fill up you will notice the change quicker but it will change.

DIC is more like a prediction seems like it takes a tank or two for it change after towing! I usually set the cruise (65) and keep resetting the mpg it will start to rise with the range.

not a toy hauler but is good size and it has a loft and bathroom and bed in back, I have 22k on her right now. I guess i.ll have to drive her around unloaded a little more . But I reset, filled up, reset and the dic still kept it @ 225 give or take not trailer at the time

Hand calculate the mileage, I think the tunes throw off the DIC. I don't use a tune and my DIC is accurate compared to hand calc. I get 10-12 pulling 10000 with my toy box no real big hills. Mileage really drops above 2000 rpm. I got 13,500 miles.

Same thing happens to me. It takes a tank or two as mentioned for it to straighten itself out.

Nice TT by the way. We were looking at one of those.

The Tuners do throw off the MPG and that is what it averages on miles left to travel.

DIC is more like a prediction -- which isn't worth DIC.

The DIC has never worked compared to my hand calcs. Close, but always off. Now with the bigger tires it really misses.
