: 6.2 what is the age and it is new or rebuilt before I buy tebtools 07-08-2007, 05:07 PM I found a 6.2 motor that is for sale and the owner does not know the year and does not know where it is factory rebuilt or new.It has plastic plugs in all the holes and tape over intake holes .He got the engine at a place that went bankrupt.Is there any way that I can tell that info from the engine .It does have a number on the end which is 12555506 and two more numbers that are F15 and a 506 Bison 07-09-2007, 10:49 PM 506 is a 6.5, has the oilspray nozzles, i believe is started in 96 or 97. the number F15 could be the new AMG, but not sure. I know the 97 had F14 on the back. look in the valley for # 506. you could get lucky there;) on a other note it could be chinese too, some of these blocks have 506 in the valley but #F14 on back. What is the price? | ||
