Hi , i just got my 91 silverado out of the body shop and it looks just fantastic,,, !! worth the price any way:)

I changed the engine(6.2) this spring, and it was running great, besides a weird rattle and banging sound commin out of the pass side exaust pipe.


At idle the motor runs rough a bit , i played with the timing of the pump, but dosent change that pif, paf ,sound at the pipe....

I changed all 4 injectors on the pass side, and didnt resove either...

I am now doubting a damaged exaust valve...

Now, does any one ever had this kind of problem on a 6.2...

And i would love to put a few pics of my silverado here ,but i'm not familiar to posting pictures...

Sounds to me like the motor is running fine but there is something else making noise (although I'm really just guessing here - it is difficult to diagnose a noise over the internet).

About posting pics... If the pics are already hosted somewhere else (like on Photobucket or on another website) you can post them by simply clicking the "insert image" icon (just to the left of the "quote" icon at the top of the reply box), inserting the URL of the image, and clicking "OK". If you have the pics on your computer but not on the internet you will have to attach them. To do this you have to "go advanced". At the bottom of the advanced post box there is a section regarding attachments. Click "attach images", pick the photos you want to attach, and click upload. Remember that to attach the images they must be smaller than a certain size (I think it is 700x700 pixels).

Yeah ! a video would be the best, can i get a video attached somewhere !
