Have 122,000 miles on my 03'.

Have had Injectors done at 28,000.

Have white smoke at idle, and truck is starting to crank longer.

Took to dealer, they tell me not injectors.

I have been running a EFI Live tune for 20,000 miles.

Truck runs great otherwise.

Could this maybe be a Cam Key problem.

I will take to different dealer on tuesday.

If it is the Cam Key, can it be replaced before the engine pukes? If so, maybe Eric or somebody can P.M. me a tell me a price.

I plan on keeping this truck for a long time, so any preventitive maintenence is worth doing!!

What do you guys think?

No, I don't have the balance rates.

Do you have efi live? If so, check the balance rates.

I had three stealers tell me my injectors were good when it cranked long then eventually wouldn't start every now and then. A lot of guys have two or three sets of injectors, so it could very well be the problem.

I don't have EFI live, just the custom tune.

I'm just curious if the glow plugs have anything to do with hard starts?

The reason I ask is that even when it is 90+ degrees, the glow plug light stays on for at least 5 seconds, it goes off and POOF, a huge puff of white smoke.

I know it isn't head gaskets, because I have no coolant loss in 122,000 miles.

I am going for a second opinion on tuesday.

Thanks
