okay....i was just watching a butt load of vids on you tube of guys doing burnouts in various cars/trucks. now when you watch people in diesels doing burnouts, you see them spooling up the turbo.. how are they doing that? are they putting it is drive then hold the gas a brake at the same time to put stress on the motor and spool up the turbo? also when you see them doing burnouts in anything you see the brake lights on because they are locking up the front wheels, but doesnt that conpletely fry the rear brakes? Im just wondering about this(i dont do them because they are retarded and a complete waste...and beside i doubt the old 6.5 would do it)

yeah they're holding the brake and giving it enough gas (and taking away enough brakes slowly) to make the rears spin then they mash the pedal and hold the brakes while its burning the rears.

if ya got enough power, f*** the brakes, just pound the throttle and keep crankin the wheel... :D

:exactly: With enough power, it's not necessary to hold the brakes. With my stack on my 02, I'd put it in 3rd gear, preload mid throttle until the tires broke loose for about 3-5 seconds and hammer down/let off the brakes. It would boil the tires for about 100' all kinds of sideways until 3rd gear ran out-no brakes. If I didn't use 3rd, it would want to pause briefly during shifts-even with the decelerate at shift points turned off. I used to brake torque my 99 z-71 and burnt up an a.b.s. motor b/c of the rear discs. $1,500 dealer repair (warranty of course), but I learned my lesson.
Hum, sounds like that would be pretty hard on your equipment?

You're right! I only did it myself a couple of times to impress those who didn't have a clue. Tires are way too expensive these days! I don't know how these guys with 20's will just sit there and boil the tires off-makes me sick.
