my budy has a 97 2wd suburban, and wed like to know if theres a good chip, boost controller, exhust for it and will it handle pro pane too?

Exhaust then guages then the chip and propane. An intercooler is a good idea to take some heat of out of it as well.

On the 97 you will have to exchange the CPU because GM soldered the chip in from that yaer on.


QM mentioned the sequence of modes. My 97 Sub has a BD computer, 3 in exhaust with a hole in the cat, intercooler, pump advanced, Heath Turbo Master, and propane off the trailer while towing. Without the Turbo Master and propane she has turned 192 HP with 105,000 miles on her at the time.


Now with 145,00 and the The Turbo master and propane there is a noticeably addition to that.


Things to remember when adding propane. Add till you hear an increase in the rattle and back off. The additional rattle will hammer the wrist pin bushings and do real damage. Unless you are using a modulated system do not use propane at lower rpm. This will cause real heavy pre ignition. My home made system is noted on my web page.
