If someone like me put's on an intake (K&N) and 4" exhause (Banks) program (Edge) on a 2002 LB7 CC SB 4X4. Will he be able to chirp the tires or is it just a mid rpm gain and slight low rpm gain. ??

Yea I know, just a dumb question.

CHOPJAW,

Ya, you'll get a real nice boost, if you consider 100+ HP a "nice boost". http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif
Think the truck is fun now? Add those items and that truck will get even better! Oh yeah!!! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Chop,

That combo should dyno out at around 400+HP to the tire. It will be a tire smoking beast with a little power brake to build boost. It should also be good for a high 13, low 14 second quarter mile. But exercise some self control.........or the trans won't be your friend after a while. Keep a trans mod in mind for your next purchase. I can recommend someone in L.A. if you like. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gif

I can garrontee more chirp (more like lighting up the tires into 3rd) if you have the right program. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

How much work will have to be done to the Tranny after I do all of that work. I really dont want to create a hole in the driveway. If were talking about $300 -500 then no prob. But if it's like a c-note then I might rethink some things.

BTW Trip, That is one cool overhead attitude mount that you made. Very nice indeed.... I will be getting me one of those.

Thanks Chop.

Chop - for the tranny to be able to hold that power and get the
chirping youre looking for youre going to need to do atleast a transgo
shift kit, and torque converter, possibly a SC Stage 3... Mike L.
is the guy to see down in LA as he can get that done for you very
nicely... Youre probably looking at $2K for lower stage tranny
work, and up to $4K for a higher set up. Well worth it IMO if you
want to put all that power to the ground and stomp on it or if youre
towing regularly and want more power as well. You can run the set
up you mentioned just have to be careful about putting the power on too
high and hammering it as it will slip the tranny and in the long run
you will pay more if it fails

Tinfoil out the window really works? Only problem is getting busted for littering is considered a worse offense than getting caught speeding.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley24.gif
