The front seat had the LATCH anchors for a car seat. That is why the switch is there....so you can turn it off. My crew cab doesn't have the switch since there is plenty of room for car seats back there. I have noticed that some of the newer vehicles have a sensor in the seat and you have to weigh a certain amount to turn on the airbag. It was my understanding that the switch is there if you have the snow plow prep package so you could turn it off while plowing (in case you hit a good obstacle). Don't know for sure though. | ||
