Hey folks,

I have a 95 Sub with 317,000 total miles on it, but 135,000 on a new GM crate motor. A couple years ago I went through the dreaded PMD death and changed an LP and OPS then too. I think it's time for a new OPS as it is stumbling with anything over 1/2 throttle acceleration.

It still has the IP, injectors, and glow plugs that came with the replacement motor. Is 135,000 miles too much for them- must they be replaced? Would any of them cause the motor to stumble on acceleration? It has also surged and died a couple times- shot a big @ss cloud of black smoke when it did that...

Hey Steve before doing $$$ stuff go thru WG checks I'll bet you are going to "limp mode" since PCM can't make boost system work like it is supposed to call my cell if you still have the #, I'm in Norfolk today, heading back to Ms this afternoon

Doc- got home tonight and checked the wastegate solenoid. There is vacuum coming off the pump and it pulls the actuator rod when I hook the vac line back up (engine running).

Changed fuel filter even though it only had 6000 miles. So far, it has done the trick. Problem SEEMS to be gone. I tried 20+ jackrabbit starts, a dozen or so accel from 20-60mph, nothing. No stumbling like before.

I did notice that if I rev it in neutral then put it in reverse, it surges and shoots out a cloud of smoke. ???

And for a while, the cruise control hasn't worked. Fuse is fine.
