Feels like a bearing is going out in the steering shaft. You can hear it and feel it sometimes when the wheel is turned. Anyone else having this minor problem?

intermediate steering shaft rattle noise on turns and over bumps. It's annoying to drivers but as a mechanic I've changed well over 100 ( I lost count). the newest design has a nylon sleeve in it between the two halves and they don't seem to have any problems like the older designs.

I've had that problem, and had the shaft changed to the new one under warranty, this problem is different in it feels like a bearing right by the actual steering wheel.

Is it a grinding sound or a thumping sound? Most likely the steering shaft again but the bearings have been known to go bad. Just not sure without more info.

try the hose clamp on the base of the column, the bearing seems to sit loosly in the tube and rattle when the wheel is turned somewhat while driving on uneven road. i just did this today on mine and now its nice n quiet!

Its a grinding noise and vibration . Doesn't do it all the time. Doesn't feel like the shaft clunk to me.
