First one: The winter cover that comes with the truck, the manual says to install it if the weather is below 32 degrees, this morning it was 27 degrees, so I got the cover out. It looks like it is either on or off, so if the weather gets above 32 I'll have to remove it every time, am I right? At what temperature on the gauges is too hot for the motor with the cover on?<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Second question: This morning I went out to warm my truck up and I had the defroster set to 90 blowing on the window. When I got in the truck it was blowing on the windshield and my feet at 68 degrees, it has done this quite a few times, but it was a little more annoying today since it was cold out, any ideas why it does this?

Are you locking and unlocking the truck with the remote? If so,
when you unlock it, it will recognize you as 'Driver 1' or 'Driver 2'
and set everything the way you have it in memory, you may want to
manually lock/unlock the doors and see if it does it again.

As for the winter front you should be ok with it on even slightly above freezing as long as you are not towing with it. Just keep an eye on the tranny and temp guage and you have a pretty good idea of what is going on.

I do use both keys, when I leave the truck running I want to be able to lock it. So if I use key 2 the heater keeps the last setting from that key? Is there a way to disable this? I want it to stay where I put it.

There is the .89 cent option package, sold at walmart, it's called a split key ring. Leave the key in the ignition and carry the key fob transmitter on your person.

But I never leave out of line of sight of the truck. Where I live the roids have a habbit of taking advantage of sloppy people.
