Get a tranny or don't bother.

A simple tow tune is about ALL that is going to or maybe increase your mileage but looking at the lift and tires your running it doesnt look to me like you were looking at or wanting ANY type of mileage.

Maybe it's just me

efi live is 749 dollars but i beilve if u dont wanna pay that price u can get with kennedy or mcrat and maybe a couple others here and u can tell them what u want to do with the truck they will program a ecm for u and send it to u so u wont have to pay the whole 749 and have to by a laptop on top of all this

as far as the turbo i have an lly myself but i think an lb7 has a waste gate just pinch it to 32 psi do not pinch anymore then that or i beilve they will Guranda or atleast i no my variet vane turbo will

Just get a Boost Valve from PPE or any other vendor..or you can buy the banks wasgaste and adjust the spring for desired boost level. I would not go past 30 to 32 psi on a stock turbo....or kiss the bearings and maybe motor night night

Stacking will get you to 470 on an unmolested WG

500+ is possible out of a stock turbo, but IT WILL DIE over 35 PSIG measured at the intake manifold.

32 is safer, but you better get your poop together. If you are unfamiliar with setting all of this up find someone who is ..... or be prepared to get intimate with CAC cleaning and turbo replacing.

I'm thinking about stacking the juice with attitude on top of my bully dog and puting on a ppe boost increase valve

I'm looking at a PPE boost valve as well. Good way to bring up the PSI a little. Have to get a guage cluster to see boost so i don't fack anything up.

If you get a boost increase valve, it will come with instructions. It's really easy and takes no time to install. as a matter of fact, the hardest part is to get the shield up

Just remember anything more than the Edge is going to smoke a stock tranny, then add in 40" tires and  I had the Edge stacked with a Hypertech and 35's and it didn't take long to burn it up.

thanks.... so should a torque converter and a bigger oil pan be enough to make my ally stronger?

its a start, but you will need internals too. I'm sure Mike L. can tell you more specifics, but the C3 clutches inside are the weak links in the Allys. You close enough to Mike out there, just start saving your pennies and get it all done at once.

It it expensive, but worth it. And you will have to have to eventually if you run any kind of big power through your Ally. Contact Mike L. here and he can give you a quote. He is in Inglewood CA. I drove there from Phoenix to have my tranny done. Price will depend on which converter you go with and what tranny you go with. I did a Suncoast 4 and the better converter and my bill was a touch over $4K, but that was about a year ago. For me it was cheaper and easier to drive to So Cal and have mine rebuilt than to buy one from a vendor, pay a core charge, have it installed, then ship back the core.
