I was towing with my 05 D-Max Dually and the truck lost power. I nursed it back to the next exit. Every time you would give the truck more than 1/4 throttle it would buck really back and then lose power. We pulled into a gas station and changed the fuel filter that seemed to fix it, but i just turned around and when home. I was just wondering if that was the symptoms that a plugged filter would cause or should I get it checked out. I planned on cutting the filter apart but my buddy threw it away at the station. It already had the wiring fixed at the alternator. The filter that was on it had 12,000 miles on it. Thanks

sounds like the filter to me. 12,000 is just a tad high, but not un heard of. it only takes one bad load of fuel to crap out the filter especially on the dmax due to the lack of a lift pump.
