When my motor is warmed up it has a clicking noise. It is more noticable on the driverside and it does not do it constantly. this is what it does Click.......click..click..click.......clickclickcl ick....... ..click. and so on. I need to get it fixed because it is still under warrenty. i am getting ready to put a lift and tunner on it which will probally ruin my warrenty. thanks.

It should go away on it's own, and is a very common condition that has happened to many of us. Mine stopped around 8/K after I switched to synthetic oil. It is supposed to have something to do with bearing tolerances and the oil making this noise. Edited by: motovet

Dittos to Motovets comments.

This is the infamous "tick". See Diesel Engine - Random Ticking Noise Info (http://dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=155&KW) in the TSB forum.

I had the tick on my 03 from day one. It seems most prevelant after an oil change and I've had it with both dino and synthetic oil. Currently with 33kmiles on my engine, I very seldom notice the tick any more. Nothing to worry about … just a little annoying ... we all seem to get used to it.
