I was thinking of mounting 2 of these on the tranny cooler. Since my tranny only gets to 200 when sittiing in traffic I think it is more of airflow issue than the cooler being to small.

click on fans motorcycle/atv I was thinking of 2 of the 4" and I will just wire them off a switch.

Ahhhhhh, another fellow sunburner. I have the same issue with an 02 LB7. Its ran that hot since i got it, the stealer says its fine but I strongly disagree. Maybe in a cooler climate but not here. If the temp is already is at 200 or more there is no way it can cool with the heat from the road, traffic etc etc, not to mention if you are pulling a big trailer. The fan sounds ok, but I would tend to lean towards a larger cooler. Didn't say it wouldn't work though.

my tranny always runs at about 200 when it is about 98-98 outside, during the winter it will run at about 150-170, I really don't know what the ideal temp should be....seems ok tho, no problems exceept alittle leak at the rear

it is a air temp. that I don't like as it gets way over 110 on the hyway around here, I want a bigger cooler and maybe a fan also but don't want to change the stock lines if I don't have to, someone said something about another cooler in this forum any ideas

Mike L @ Inglewood Trans. has a new cooler he sale, to help with temp. Look him up in the vendor section.

also check tranny fluid level. My tranny was doing the same thing from the factory. I didnt think it was right and when I changed the tranny fluid I realized there was a lot extra in there from the dealer. Now that the fluid levels are in check it still gets up to 200, but not as quickly and under reasonable conditions

Turn on T/H. Locking the TC in the lower gears will help keep the fluid cooler.
