As I said, I'm a "newbie" to the Duramax world, so you guys be easy on me... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif
Seriously though, I'm interested in how you guys are making more power than stock.
Are any injectors available for the Duramax?
Do you have to go to aftermarket Turbo's?
All chips, tuners, and boxes?
What problems are you guys having...hear alot about injectors?
Thanks,
Justin.

Yes there are aftermarket injectors available for the duramax but they are fairly difficult to change.
There are currently no production aftermarket turbos availble for the Duramax.
Almost all the power you see being made with duramax is chips, tuners, and boxes. There are a few running nitrous for more air since turbos are not availble. However this is not allowed in pulling events. 500hp is attainable on #2 with no extra air.
The biggest problems with these trucks is injectors which are now covered under a 200,000 mile warranty.Edited by: Max Power

The TTS extreme alone will put down 450+. There are a few stacks and boxes that will produce similar results. Do a search here for TTS extreme and you will find lots of info.

Since I have an lly....I am not for certain but I beleive guys with the lb7 are getting 500hp with a hot juice and a quad 215 tuner, is this right? As for the lly....they have dynoed 420ish hp with a sun coast level 3 tranny upgrade and the edge/juice set on level 5. With the pup stacked, set on level 1...I predict 450ish hp. Not for certain as there has been no dyno results staked which have been posted. I may dyno my truck the sunday before thanksgiving with this combo but am not certain if I will be able to attend the dyno session in Moon township Pa yet. Seat of the pants indicates a increase in hp with this stack combo. Edited by: dpower

I could tell a big difference just with the Suncoast 3. More power to the rear wheels.

Does everyone buy an Allison with the Duramax?

The Duramax/Allison is a combo... You get that unless you order a 6 speed IIRC....
The "Stoopid" box is his term for a box that has been "tampered" with and made to push out more power...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

What's a "Stoopid" Box?
It is a VanAAken 200+ that has been tweaked a bit.
'stoopid' refers to the power level/egt's/acceleration etc.
In short it is just plain 'stoopid'
Leave the juicegrips alone... just back away.... and do not fiddle with the turbo.... in fact, when opening the hood don't even look at it!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif
