I have a 2002 Duramax with 38,000 miles on it. During my last oil change I noticed a yellowish oil leaking down the very front of the engine. The mechanics at the dealership had no idea what it could be. They were not able to identifiy what the oil was or where it was coming from. He cleaned off all the oil and said drive it for a few days and bring it back and they would see if they could figure it out. Any ideas as to what this might be?

It could be that yellow snot they use for the front differential fluid from the factory. Maby you have a small leak and its blowing onto the front of the motor when you drive. Just a thought.

Thanks for the replies. Once the dealership figures out what it is I will let you know.
