I've read about every post I can find on this site and need a quick answer. I want to put 265/75/16s (AT or MT) on my 2500HD on 16x8 wheels without cutting plastic or cranking the t-bars. I understand that the offset/backspacing is the key in this situation. 4.5 inch backspacing and zero offset wheels will probably not work without cranking/trimming from everything I've read. I found a set of 16x8 MB "Predator" wheels from Discount Tire Direct with an offset of 25mm, which should mean the backspacing is 5.5 inches. Is this going to work without cranking or trimming? Thanks.

You might want to read through the sticky at the top of this section.

Sorry about that. I've got a 2006 Chevy 2500HD with 6.0 liter gasser, and auto tranny. As for reading the sticky, it can't find anything definite in it about 265s and aftermarket 16x8 wheels and backspace.
Anyone?

Yeah I would have to agree. You shouldn't have any problems. I run 285's and I had to turn the t-bars up a little and do some very mild bumber trimming. The Drivers side inner fender also had to be trimmed up front. None of the trimming is even noticeable.

The OEM wheels have 28mm offset. That is only 3mm (0.118'') difference. After having done a lot of research on this subject, I would say that they should work just fine with no modifications to your truck.
I have 265/75R-16 GoodYears on 16'' x 7'' wheels with 28mm offset and they fit perfectly.
Those Predator 16'' x 8'' wheels were my next choice if I hadn't found these OEM 3500 SRW Chrome wheels on ebay for a very good price.
I would say Go for it! ):h

Thanks Ray. I've read your responses regarding offset in other threads and based my decision in part on your analysis which I believe is spot on. This is an excellent forum, and I appreciate the time you took to answer my question.
