I have been a member for awhile but this is my first post. 10,000 miles on the truck so far with no problems. Getting ready to tow for the first time and I'm ready to install guages and maybe a cat back exhaust. Can anyone that installed a 4 inch cat back exhaust tell me how much of a drop in EGT they saw? This site is great .

I saw a 250 degree drop at first, then I added the EVO and it went back up some so net loss would be around 100 to 150 with both.

I do think in this situation that a turbo back system would be the best for lowering EGTs as the kitty holds things up a bit. I am not taking my kitty of until 100,000 miles as I do not want any warranty issues should something go wrong as I have the warranty for that period.

All in all I like the system and would do it again with out hesitation. I also just put the AFE Stage II on, and I want to tell you that some of these tests that have been done in the past need to be redone again. The Pro Guard filter is a lot better than the ones in the past and I have a lot more pick up. the turbo seems to spool up way faster than with the stock airbox in. I am going to run some quarter mile times to see if it equaled any performace gains. My fastest et on a 1/4 was 12.9 seconds before and 101mph. I bet I cut at least a half a sec off that now amd at least get 110mph.

 Wow...could an air intake reduce the ET half a second and add 9mph in the 1/4 mile?????????????
