I searched for a long time and didn't see this covered...
is off-Road diesel just #2 heating oil ? The guy that delivers it says it's just heating oil no different. We have a bunch of diesel off road equipment that we operate and if I can just run heating oil it'll save me even more than going to the station and buying the same thing there but costing more money...
It will not be used for on road...

Yes,it's the same.Only thing though is when it get's cold out,heating oil doesn't get treated with anti-gel,so you'd be on your own to add your own.

Sometimes when I get a delivery of heating oil, the delivery ticket says dyed off road diesel.
