: ZF Badge
MaxRock 10-20-2004, 11:17 AM Does anyone know if ZF makes a badge or decal similar to the Allison??? This way the proud hand shaker owners can display our transmission preferrence also!!!
I would like to have the DMax badge on the driver's side of the tailgate and the ZF badge on the passenger's side. Let the world know that we like DRIVING our trucks!!! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif

gearhead 10-20-2004, 12:00 PM that would be cool, I want one also. would be good if it said ZF6spdEdited by: gearhead
I loaded the ZF logo as my avatar. How about that?
Here are a couple quick layouts. Not sure which one I like better.

gearhead 10-20-2004, 03:52 PM evan better if it was in chrome http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif
MaxRock 10-20-2004, 03:53 PM Jeli,
Now that is cool!!! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley16.gif I do have a couple of ideas;
- How about one that just says ZF Transmissions (similar to the Allison Transmissions)
- Center the S6-650 vertically with the ZF logo
I spoke with ZF and the only badge they have is a 5" square that says ZF. I think I prefer what Jeli has come up with.
So, when are you going to start making these???

05DMAX 10-20-2004, 08:17 PM What about this:

A combo of both.
If we could get this on a raised plate, it would look sweet right above the "duramax diesel" logos on the doors and maybe put one on the tailgate.
jjgmc 10-21-2004, 12:37 AM count me as well for a badge http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
I'll do some tinkering this week. I like the chrome idea. I'm not good at photoshop but my ad group at work is. I'll play around and look at some other examples. I'm really busy at work and will be out of the country in a couple weeks so it may take a while.
Deadeye 10-26-2004, 02:37 PM count me in . . . http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
gearhead 10-26-2004, 03:28 PM I like the ZF 6speed in chrome http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif bling is good!
MaxRock 11-01-2004, 01:38 PM I'm not sure about the chrome, but I believe I could get some vinyl stickers made, similar to the Allison. Anyone interested in vinyl? Please let me know and I'll see what I can do.
MaxRock
gearhead 11-01-2004, 03:36 PM is the vinal just a thin sticker or more like a thick badge?
MaxRock 11-01-2004, 07:15 PM Maybe we could get the best of both worlds. A vinyl sticker that has a chrome background with the ZF info in blue as Jeli proposed?
I'm assuming the vinyl will be a thin decal.

MaxRock 11-02-2004, 02:20 PM That is pretty darn close. I wonder if we could convince Kirban Performance Products to add "ZF" to the emblem?<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
A week or so ago I contacted ZF via email and asked if they had a decal or emblem. The only thing they had was a 5" square decal that looks just like Jeli's avator. They sent one to me and it came in the mail last night.
I appreciate the offer, but it just doesn't work for the truck. I was hoping to generate some interest in having a chrome / decal made. There is a graphics company in the small town I live in that does custom graphics. If there is enough interest I'll try and have some made.

gearhead 11-02-2004, 04:00 PM see what you can come up with. I dont like the s6-650 but the other one would be good.
MaxRock 11-03-2004, 05:36 PM <?:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /> Ok, I'm going to work with a graphics company to see what they can come up with . I will use the following image as a starting point.</v:shape>
http://dieselplace.com/forum/uploads/MaxRock/2004-11-03_133229_ZF_Badge.jpg</v:shape></v:shape>
I'm not sure about the chrome, I'll ask the graphics artist their opiinion. I would like to know how many people are interested in one of these for their trucks. The larger quantity we can offer the graphics company, the more willing they would be to customize something for us.</v:shape></v:shape>
Thanks,</v:shape></v:shape>

Deadeye 11-03-2004, 06:15 PM MAXROCK;
I would be interested. However, I would prefer an alloy/chrome/plastic badge as opposed to a plain decal. I just don't think a decal would look well compared to the Allison badge or Edge badge. BTW, if you searched the forum maybe you could find the source of the Edge badge and look into it . . .
thanks,
OSUDuramax 11-04-2004, 04:35 PM I would also be varry interested in having a badge keep me poasted.

How is it comin??
MaxRock 12-01-2004, 06:18 PM Sorry guys, work has been keeping me really busy. I just contacted the Graphix company and am waiting to hear back from them. I asked the Graphix Co to size the decal at 1.5" x 4.7" (maintaining the same aspect ratio) printed on a chrome background. I requested pricing at quantities of 20, 50 and 100 pieces. I will post the results as soon as I get them.

jim-in-so-ore 12-20-2004, 10:46 AM Hey Guys,
I just saw a neat thing over at the accessories site. It's called Billetbadges and they might be able to create a hi quality badge like we want at a reasonable price. Unfortunately all of their photos are of Ford emblems but they will do others, I'm sure.):h

can you post a link? I could not find it.
jim-in-so-ore 12-20-2004, 08:48 PM Go to www.billetbadges.com (http://www.billetbadges.com) It should give you all of the info that you might need.

Deadeye 12-21-2004, 12:58 PM I checked it out. can't imagine a furd only vendor would be willin to make a badge for a GM tool :D
jim-in-so-ore 12-21-2004, 05:33 PM Deadeye,
Go to the "Accessories and Aftermarket" section of this forum. Then go to the post by Muddywoman called " How about a set of these?" not nuts. She has been in contact with Billett Badges and it seems like they are interested in broadening there market share. Read all of muddywomans posts then decide.
