: custom operating system problem
I am new with EFI, and not very familiar with it yet.
Problem is that I canīt make DSP5 or 2 tunes, because there is nothing to select in "upgrade OS" box.
What do I do wrong?
EFI is V7.4.2. 622, commersial version, V2 cable.
LarryJewell 06-27-2007, 04:11 PM Try updating your software, go to the EFI website and get the latest update.
vortecfcar 06-27-2007, 04:40 PM I'll second that. Also, sometimes after you work on a DSP2 or 5 tune, you'll have to close it and reopen it before the fat red arrow ( to upload the OS) will become available.
Trippin 06-27-2007, 04:47 PM Mika,
I just tested this and found that if you have a DSP2 or DSP5 calibration already open, then there is no upgrade to take place, so it won't display that as an option.
Be sure you are starting with a stock tune.
I will update my program when I go home. Maybe it helps.
I have try several tunes including stock, and always same result.
Trippin 06-27-2007, 11:18 PM What is the number of the OS's you are trying to upgrade?
Stock OS 15188873
tune from efiīs gallery OS 15189044
DSP 2 tune from Bobo OS 02685301
and some else I download from download section, donīt have it now.
Trippin 06-28-2007, 10:01 AM I looked at an ****873 tune and it shows up as upgradeable on my end.
Have you entered in the reg codes or do you have your box plugged in to the computer when you try the upgrade?
Just for grins, shut down all open EFILive software, plug the box into the PC and then open EFILive and see if there is a difference.
If you go to Help>About>Reg EFILive does it show up as Personal or Commercial?
I have tried with and without box.
Also no difference if I connect box before starting EFI.
Now I have version 7.4.2 .646 and EFI shows commercial scan & tune.
I will uninstall all efi programs and re-install them later. Maybe it helps.
Now I must build my engine.
Trippin 06-28-2007, 01:09 PM Tracking shows you received a package today. :D
Yes. Very nice heads, cam and gauge mount with DSP5 switch.
Thank You.
But now my Dsp5 wonīt work:bawl:
I open tunes with another computer, and there it was, DSP 2 and 5 available.
So it seems that EFI is somehow corrupted or something in my laptop, I will reinstall programs, probably it helps.
Still having problems with my laptop.
When I uninstall efi with windows and install new program again, it will not work. I have to bring some folders from trash to make efi work. Then no OS changes again.
How can I totally take EFI off of my computer, so that new installing is possible?
Trippin 06-29-2007, 09:24 PM Start Menu>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs select EFILive Scan and tuning tool.
Now it works. There was some files in register section what have to uninstall manually.
