Anyone ever put a ammeter in their truck? If so is it very useful?

I'm looking into getting a guage pod and only have 2 guages in mind so far, boost and pyro but I found a ammeter on the isspro website that goes to 200amps. I just ask because I had a ammeter in my 260z and it was cool to see what the charging system was doing but I don't know if that's really something useful to monitor.

Ammeter IMHO is sorta useless, besides hooking one up in today's trucks will be a bear. Don't know about you but I don't want to drill 2 more holes in cab to run #4 wire to gauge, also it'll show constant draw while at rest(parasitic draw from ECM,PCM,radio, etc.)

Ah, that's the other thing I didn't know is what kind of things are necessary for installation. And if I have to run 4awg or larger wire to the thing then nevermind I'll get a 2 guage pod.
