After dynoing my truck this weekend at Spring Fling, I am thinking of going with some custom tuning. I am happy with my numbers but I would like more. I was expecting more horsepower and a little less torque. For an off the shelf tuner, the PPE Hot +2 does put down some impressive numbers. I would like to have 500+ wheel horspower and 1000+ ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheels. I would also like to be in the low 13's at the drag strip which I think is very do-able with the numbers I am after.

Does anyone here have any experience with tuning for a standard trans truck? If so what were the results and how much $$$ am I looking at getting into something like this?

I know I want more power but I dont know the best route to get there!

THe ppe tunes are made to work on all trucks, you can improve on the power some with efi. You might not make more power but you might make better, more usable power with efi.

I was never able to hit the big 500hp even with efi, thats why i spent the 6k for the turbo and pumps. now i have more then enouh tuning room to make what ever number i want. right now im happy with 550 hp and 930 tq keeping the tq low should "in my mind" make the engine live a bit longer at big power levels!
