I would like to add the edge/attiude to the truck so don't want to shoot myself in the foot. Also anyone know how to defeat the road speed govenor- set at 75 mphhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley11.gif

Talk to steve cole and see if he can set you up with something. I would be fearfull of installing a juice if you have employees driving it. They are lible to set the box to killhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif TTS stuff also blasts the limiter. I'm betting your comercial guy is as usefull as mine.....probably couldnt tell you any difference or specs other than whats in the brocher.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif

Useless would be an under statement. The rig will be my "work" truck so I am the only driver, so setting it to "kill" is ok, just need to have a light foothttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif Any one have any thoughts on the trans types?

Diesel Tech (TTS) and I will have one to play with pretty soon. This monster comes with 5.13 gears and a top governed speed of 75 mph. This will be a fun project.

Any ideas on the trans stuff. I am researching a bigger rig. Leaning hard twards the 4500. gota be 4x4. any thoughts and oppinions would be appreciated. I hope Steve will put something together that will be as safe as stock for when the mutants get ahold of it. Unfortunatly some employees might get some seat time.

On the 4500 I have it is equipped with the wrecker package, Which I assume that would fall under EMERGENCY basicly it feels that same as driving my 3500 in TOW/HAUL all the time. With the 4.44 ratio it pulls great through all the grears and the speed limiter is at 85mph
Oh yea if your specing out your own truck make sure and pop for the exhaust brake its worth its weight in gold.

Speed limiter is set at 75mp http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley11.gif that why I am looking at a box.

Just an FYI, the allison Vocational Models are just a name.. Same internals and calibrations. It's just a marketing ploy to get people to think that they are getting what they paying extra for... A name.. The ratings change, I know, but that is a butt coverage thing.. The higher stress vocation, the lower the hp & torque ratings are. ;)
