I towed my 5th wheel, which when fully loaded is probably around 12,000 lbs. I started out in level 2, but quickly found the EGT's getting over 1300 for some of the serious hills I encountered. I stopped and put the tuner into the level 1 setting. This is the ideal setting for anybody towing some serious weight up steep hills. The EGT's never broke 1200. The key is taking advantange of the manual option with the Allison trans. I found that 6th gear is left best for flat towing, 5th gear for a majority of my trip and 4th gear for any hills. The best RPM I found was around 2500-2700. I was able to keep 65 mph in 4th gear with RPM's around 2700. The EGTs were around 1100 for any hills I encountered. Flat towing and slight inclines the EGT's were from 500-1000. My truck is running 285 BFG's on it. I towed a distance of around 220 miles and averaged 10.5 mpg. Most of the trip is hilly. Overall, I'm totally happy with the PPE tuner.:knight:

I kind of went overboard on the EGT guage. I bought a digital guage from Redline Guages Inc. It's the nicest one I've ever seen. Definately first rate. You can look them up by just entering their company name. They got a nice website. I originally was gonna put in the new digital Autometer EGT guage, but it had not been released to the stores yet.

Who makes pods for the LMMs?
This is what I'm interested in finding out. I'm ready to put gauges in my '07.5 LMM and would like to find a triple gauge pod for my a-pillar. Has Autometer released one yet?
I just got my PPE LMM programmer this past week and will be installing it this week!

Aren't the pods generic? Kind of 1 size fits all? I need a double for my LMM.
