After 2 months (boy how time flies) and a little towing (ok a lot of towing) Driving safe and sane (beating the snot out of it/dragracing or dynoing) All is well.

to date i have pulled in excess of 497,000 lbs over this 2 month period (trailer and load is 16,500 +/-) sometimes in 'stoopid' mode and other times in +180 on the VanAAken.

And yes, i have even run it stock when towing those loads. I am impressed with the drivability of this transmission. It feels very very good indeed. Shifts are salute smart (in normal mode)without being harsh. (in tow haul mode unladen) the shifts are definately on the aggressive side, and is very satisfying when dispatching a mustang or other 'fast' vehicle.

It is difficult to separate convertor performance from the rest of the transmission, as this combination is very balanced.

I am posting this for those who have asked, phoned and PM'd me on any new news on how things are working.

Interestingly enough, fuel mileage is down in town by 1 MPG, but up 1.5MPG on the highway empty. Another observation is when towing my MPG is up 1.7 from my previous baseline. While towing in tow haul mode shifting is quite aggressive, and the downshifts when grade braking are aggressive also.

All in all, I am very satisfied with what i have here. But it has been a while since posting anything on it so i thought i would throw a little info out there on my first impressions.

There you have it!

Compared to the Dodge trans.. it shifts on par for firmness... and in T/H mode more aggressive than a dodge DTT

It does seem to shift quickly, as quick as a dodge DTT.... well i would have to do a side by side comparo, but it is darn quick!

They have definately taken the 'slush' out of the box! And yes, i know i am a lucky S.O.B to try it out.

I feel bad for Stefan's truck though.... he has the same trans but no convertor in it yet.

Mine feels waay better than his! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Rock On.gifEdited by: Got Juice?

Not yet. It sounds like it won't be any time soon. Juice will know more.

GJ, you do not know what stock is, so how would you know how your transmission acted while being stock.
