I never installed side steps on my 2003 LT, 2500HD 4X4 and have been dragging my azz across the seat and now have worn holes into the edge of the driver seat. I see where people have changed out the foam cushion but has anyone replaced the leather seat top? Can I get new foam and leather from GM?
Thanks

IIRC, it is still available from GM, but I would price the whole bottom cover from GM versus having a local shop replace the bad panel(s) on yours. The cloth were affordable but leather was $$$. If you don't know a reputable shop, ask at several dealers (any make) and see where they send their repairs out to.
One on truck we had, it was cheaper to Katskinz the whole front as the leather was so far worn and faded that a replacement panel wouldn't match.

The whole bottom panel is what I had in mind. The pass side (and the rest of the seats) are in like new condition as no one ever sets in them. 90% or better of the 90K miles are just me.

My father-in-law did his under warranty...... Check with your dealer. I think it was a known problem.
Good luck

I just call GM and the Leather Seat cover is $446.50 and the Foam pad is $58.01
I looked on Ebay and found a guy that sales this seat cover for $99.00 and claims it to be GM original. Seems be be a very large price spread for GM OEM part.

I got mine off Ebay for $150, they worked great for our '98 Tahoe. The heated seats can be a little pain because you have to remove the heating wire from the original seat.

I just searched ebay and didn't find the leather cover for our trucks. Can you post the page for me?

You just need to keep looking on Ebay, it took several weeks for me to get one for the right price.
Here is a seat bottom -

I would look into katskin replacements because i believe their leather to be better quality than what GM uses on their trucks and it might last longer.
