hey fellas, i have been lurking on here trying to learn some stuff about my 05 2500, and have come to the point in time where i need to get some tires.

i can get a hell of a deal on some H2 wheels, they have less than 50 miles on them. now, i have been trying to read into load ratings, etc. and am wondering if these wheels will be sufficient for my truck. i never tow anymore than 6500 pounds... (Haulmark trailor and my rx7 drag car.)

here is what the wheels are: 265/70R17 FIRESTONE DESTINATION LE TIRES rated at 2535lbs@44psi. now, since these are wider, do i need to adjust the torsion bars up front?

thanks for any help you guys can give me, sorry for my lack of knowledge, im trying to learn!

The wheels will be fine for what you are towing. As for the torsion bars, mount them up and see if you will need to raise the front end to eliminate rubbing. Chances are you will need to a little.

thanks for the response... i am trying to get an understanding of these tires, and for now i think they will be fine. before too long i think i will upgrade the tires though.

You will like the H2 wheels. When you go to upgrade tires if you want to leave your truck stock height a 285 tire would be a good choice. A 305 looks very good but takes a little more work to fit and look proportional with your truck.:)
