I went outside this morning to go to work and my 2002 duramax wouldn't even crank. All was fine the night before when I parked it. All the instruments are lit up. The daytime running lights come on and are bright. I armed and disarmed the factory alarm, this made no difference. I moved the shifter to neutral and tried to crank it... this made no difference. I'm not hearing any relay or selonoid clicking when I rotate to the crank position. It almost acts like a bad ignition switch or a dead starter selonoid. Any suggestion on known problems or past experiences would sure be appreciatedhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley6.gif.

I guess I was a little trigger happy on the post this morning. After I realized that the shift idicator lights weren't on, I started checking fuses and found the ignition C fuse was open. Has anyone seen this before? Which circuits feed off this 20A fuse? I'd hate to be in BFE and have this happen.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif

I'm suspecting a wire from a "dealer installed" high idle toggle switch may have been the culprit. The wire that penetrates the firewall does not appear to have a grommet.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif
