http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif I have a 04 4x4 LLy Crew Cab, is there anything wrong with running a fram oil filter with Delo? If so wht is good to run?

I think if you'll do a search or two for Fram filters, you'll find that most here think very poorly of them.


The exception would be if you bought an LB7 fuel filter. Since Racor holds the patent for them, all of the other brands are actually Racor's in disguise.


There are lots of good filters out there, Wix, Baldwin, AC Delco and others. I run the AC's, if I were you I'd not run a Fram oil filter...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley11.gif

Ditto. Go will a different filter, not the Fram, for sure.

I am not familiar with your area, but here we don't have a lot of options for stores open all night. Do you know of someone who can purchase a filter for you during daytime hours? That might be your best bet. If not, perhaps online mailoder is in your future. There is probably supporting vendors here that sell oil filters.
