I've been thinking about going back to my stock airbox from my Airaid. I know it will filter better, but I'm not sure how it will affect mileage. I was also wondering how big of an impact it would have on egt's. If anyone has done this let me know your opinion and how you made out with it overall.

I saw quicker spool ups on my LLY with a box BUT I also think the oil from aftermarket filters messes with the MAF. I have gone back to stock. If nothing else because diesels use so much air, depending on your environment, you may need to clean / re-oil it very frequently to keep up the mileage. With the stock filter, toss and insert new. My $.02

Thanks for the input. I don't drive in dusty conditions or even off road and I also run a prefilter so I probably don't have too much too worry about, but I would like to preserve my engine as long as I can.
