: silly radio question

Seems silly to even ask but I haven't figured out how to do it and the manual isn't helping. Assuming you set your presets to your desired stations and then hit the "seek" button, shouldn't it scan only the stations you have already preset? Otherwise, you are scanning through every station your radio will pick up, particularly a pain in the a$$ if you are using the "seek" button on the steering wheel. My other truck radios had a "scan" button that would do this, but I have nothing like this on GM. Anyone know if there is some way to set the stereo to do this. I have the stock GM Bose system with the 6 disc changer if that makes any difference.

If you have an LT like I do, I believe that the 8 button steering wheel is standard with that trim package.

Just hit the "Prog" butt on the left side of the steering wheel. That will cycle through the preset stations on the current group you're on.

Use the source button next to the Prog button to cycle through the different bands, FM1, FM2, AM, CD, etc.

The seek button will scan up and down to the next available radio station when in radio mode and will seek the next song on a CD.

Hope that helps. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
