You guys that use Rotella in your LLY. How black is the oil when you change it?? Mine has 1500 mile on Rotella and it is getting really dark. Just wondering if this is normal.

That is th job of the "detergent" additives. I'd be VERY concerned if the engine oil in MY diesel powered vehicle did NOT turn dark! I couldn't believe it. It was 10 years old and was clear just like new oil. I couldn't believe it.
