Ok.. My cusion is a diesel mech and has a laptop with "Allison software" for med to hevy duty trucks. Is there anythink this software can be used for on our trucks or is the GM software different?

If your cousin has the Allison DOC program you can do a lot of readings on the Ally that the Tech 2 never dreamed of. Only one problem; if you set a trans code and it registers on the engine side (PCM) you will not clear that code with the DOC. You will need a cheap code reader to do that or a scanner.

Great so other than have him put my transmission into fast learn when I put a juice *** on. What other kinds of stuff can he do?? He mentioned something about turning off the adaptive shift?

Being able to setup lower shiftpoints at WOT and normal driving would
be wonderfull. I like to let the torque work and unfortunatly,
the ally even if it's adapting a little like to shift a little to high
for my taste. I know that the co-pilot would help but I wold like
to have an ally programmer instead like the quad does to the engine.
