: Diesel Prices SUCK!!
broncrider0424 10-18-2004, 07:23 PM How much are diesel prices where you guys are at. In Bryan, TX we're at 2.06 a gallon and rising. How much is the fine for running farm diesel again?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif Ha Ha just kiddin dont come get me!
hamsalad 10-18-2004, 07:40 PM $2.31 to $2.49 here in SoCal!
Max Power 10-18-2004, 07:52 PM .79c per liter. Or 3.16 canadian per gallon. Works out ot about $2.50 per gallon USD. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif
I still have some #2 in my bulk tank that I bought for about .60c per liter.
We're hanging around $2.20-$2.30 US gal.
captainmal 10-18-2004, 09:02 PM Cheapest I saw was Virginia at 2 bucks but $2.20 is right around what all the East Coast is paying.
Just hauled my little 17ft. boat to the house here in Florida. It does have two motors and might weigh a ton with trailer but I had it loaded up with tree stands and lots of tools plus the truck was packed full. My guess is I grossed around 10K#'s. 18MPG.
That's what I got for 1,200 miles. Did take a detour to Cedar Key but most driving was 70mph on Interstate roads. 18mpg towing and loaded is real good I think. Remember though, there was no increased wind resistance with the boat and trailer. That's a far cry from what I usually tow that's over 12ft. high, heavy and gets me 8 to 11 mpg.
Wind resistance...said it before and I'll say it again. Wind resistance is the key to towing and fuel mileage.
Cummins0104 10-18-2004, 10:57 PM Here in Ky...It's around $2.14/gallon...its still pretty crazy!!! I hate it...and plus one of the main reasons that i bought a diesel was because diesel prices were lower!!! Lucky me!!!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif
DESERT1 10-19-2004, 02:52 AM $$2.49$$ and rising here!!!! this is B.S. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif
tdupuis 10-19-2004, 09:22 AM It's about $2.25 here in Indiana. When I was in Texas last week they were around $2-$2.10.
Someone better lower fuel prices instead of raise them if he wants to get those swing votes and win an election...
booneman 10-19-2004, 09:37 AM Hey guys $2.59 here and risinghttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif My truck is still only getting around 12 miles to the gallonhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif
On a happier note I pulled home my first ford on sunday.
My buddy has a 99 F-350 quad cab sb he left my house and called me 10
min. later and told me to come get him. When I was hooking up to
his truck he smarted off and said you sure that thing can pull me I
just replied hold on. It's a pretty good climb back to my
house. By the time we got to the top of the hill he was yelling
out the window and hitting his brakes. I guess 60 was a little
excessive when towing with a chainhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif
broncrider0424 10-19-2004, 09:46 AM I guess I jinxed myself when I posted this I actually saw diesel for 2.22 a gallon yesterday holy cow!! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley11.gif
the496rocket 10-19-2004, 03:54 PM Grand Rapids, MI, 2.19 a gallon, I was hoping for it to go down, but by the other posts, it looks like it is going to go up.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif I better fill up.
Dodge-5.9 10-20-2004, 10:03 AM just outside houston, $2.06 rising and falling constantly
cobra13 10-20-2004, 02:31 PM $2.04 this morning here in Noble, Oklahoma
Cummins600 10-20-2004, 11:51 PM Anywhere from $2.14 to $2.25 in Indiana. Seems like the smaller little towns are even higher!! I don't understand it. All summer diesel was $1.67 and gas about $1.79. Then gas jumps up $.10 before fall and diesel goes up $.20 overnight and has never gone back down. Now gas is $1.81 and diesel is $2.14. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif
sheetsp 10-21-2004, 12:27 AM Here in Rapid City, SD diesel just went to 2.19/gal. That is sick! And to know diesel cost less to make than gasoline.
J-HEFF 10-22-2004, 02:05 AM Just to let you guys know we are at 2.55 here at the University of Idaho where I attend college. That red fuel back home on the farm sure is tempting at 1.70 a gallon isn't it, hahah http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
J-HEFF

4M Roofing 10-24-2004, 08:22 PM I paid $2.30 here in Colorado last week. It was one of those tiny-town marts. Along the interstatte its $2.10-$2.20. I'd like to know what home heating oil costs, as its the same product.
Dodge-5.9 10-25-2004, 06:32 PM well i heared that in Texas by december and early next year if not sooner that it will be at $3.00
i guess i should start looking for a gas powered daliy driverEdited by: Dodge-5.9
War Wagon 10-25-2004, 06:50 PM broncrider-
I believe that in Montana the fine is $500. When you think about that, running died diesel might just be worth it.
4M Roofing 10-28-2004, 04:55 PM While not advocating, I'm guessing the avg Joe wouldnt be scrutinized. Seems the folks they check are the guys hauling heavy equipment. How much is Wesson oil by the gallon?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif
