Hello
I have a cat back MBRP cool dual 304. And a stock front pipe, with out a cat. And I want to reduce the noise best possible.

After what I have read on the this page, I need to mount the resonator as close as possible to the engine, to get the best noise reduction. For me this means that I will mount it after the front pipe.

If I buy a aftermarket frontpipe, and mount the resonator there, will it be a big diffrent in sound compare to mount it after front pipe?

I do not think it will fit there.

How did you get rid of the cat with a cat back system? Did you cut it out? On mine, the cat was one piece from the downpipe back to the 4 bolt flange.

You get a cat- back system and then buy the front pipe cat dlete pipe. That way if you need to you can take the front pipe back out and put the cat back in. If you get a front pipe back or "turbo" back setup you cannot do it. I did the cat back system with a front pipe/cat delete just in case I need to put the cat back in for inspecion - or when I am not "off-roading".

My truck is stock with out a cat..

I mounted the resonator after the front pipe, was a small change in the sound. Not much... :(
