Many of you have seen my previous posts, but no one has said what to do with the TDC 74--Trans. Input Speed Sensor. You have all been a tremendous help with the other codes, and I've gotten rid of all but this one. First off, where is it, so I can find/clean the wiring harness. Then what??

Do a search for trnsmissioninput speed sensor. iknow I've read this before.

I think it's located driveside near the tailshaft. Try removing and cleaning sometimes sludge will keep them from reading right.

input sensor is drivers side just behind bell housing. output sensor is in the tailshaft cone same side unless its 4wd then the output sens is on the transfer case. both sensors look alike but i don't know if they are the same part #s. takes a 10mm and about 1min. to change either. Thanks guys...I'll check it out...I do remember a time I had the truck on the beach about 1 year ago, and the trans. quit shifting. I disconnected the wires that go to what I now believe is the input speed sensor, cleaned them up, and it shifted fine after that. It shifts fine (or at least I think so) and doesn't slip at all, Just flashing a code.
