Against my better judgement I upgraded my EFI from 7.3 to 7.4, I also downloaded the new drivers. Now my V1 doesn't flash like it use to and when I click "Connect" it says it connected but I can't even scan for codes. Also I'm using Vista the biggest piece of crap that Microsoft ever came up with.

vista aint that bad :D It sucks but efi live runs OK.....I'm about to throw it though if it asks me if I want to run EFI live and if I trust it 1 more time  Run as an admin, add it to the list of trusted programs.....nothing seems to work
So you updated your firmware?

I get $31 code when I try to connect but I can read codes. I wish I would have never touched it. Keeps telling me I have invalid PID's. BS
I sent an email to the Kiwi's without response. Tripp gave me a few ideas to try next.
It's TECH SUPPORT TIME!!!

I've been running Vista full time since Beta2 without issue...
On the drive front perhaps run this clean utility to remove all the old FTDI drivers: http://download2.efilive.com/Drivers/FTClean.zip
Make sure all devices, FlashScan and ideally everything else before running the utility.
Then install the latest drivers: http://download2.efilive.com/Drivers/FlashScan_Win-2K-XP.zip
Also, is it only scanning you have trouble with (i.e can you read/flash a calibration)?

So I'v run the FT cleaning program and re downloaded the new drivers, where should they be located or is there an app to run or somthing? because it still won't allow me to clear the DTC's even

You can locate the extracted drivers anywhere really. You only specify that location when loading the drivers initially - on first connection of the device after the FTClena utility has been run.
If you've done that already does the FlashScan connect to the PCM, can you perform a read etc?
Did the drivers load OK?
