I have a 2001, 2500 CTD with 92,000 miles on it . It has been stalling
lately after I put it into gear. It then is very hard starting
... After 2nd start and warm up it runs and starts fine .

I would have a fuel pressure test run on it, mine had some of the same symptoms and it turned out to be the injector pump. I would have it checked out now while its still under warranty. If it is the problem make them change the the injector AND the lift pump. Also check out the recall on the website i attached.
