Buy a KD lift pump you don't have to cut lines!

I don't know if the lines are the same on a 2002 but I was able to use a pipe cutter on mine. I just popped them out of the plastic clips and snapped back in when done.
I don't think you want to use a saw because metal shavings might get inside the pipe.

Go buy a Ridgid "imp" pipe cutter. Small guy good for 1/2 tubing, they sell them at Home Depot and plumbing supply places. It worked great for me.

thanks guys! i will get a small pipe cutter like rpidelt said and try that. looks like the line should be able to be pulled out of the clips for more work access

X3 for the tubing cutter. I poped them out of the clips, and bent a little in the middle so I could fit the cutter in there. I tossed about 6" of tubing to plumb the lift pump. The line is very easy to bend, but dont kink it. The line from the tank side was draining for ever (aprox. 1 Gal.)! I got a piece of 1/2" rubber hose, attatched it to the tank side line, raised the hose above the frame rail and the fuel stoped leaking.

I jet the tank get really low and then parked the truck with the front end up hill. I didn't lose much fuel at all. (probably only a couple spoon fulls) It actually sucked air in when I cut it.
