The wife and I just returned from Texas this evening with our new Sierra, I received the phone call from my salesman last Friday that my new truck had been delivered (Thank You Howard), so the wife and I rented a car and made the 740 mile trip out to pick her up, and since we have never been to the great state of Texas we decided to make it a small vacation and spent a week, anyways we ended up getting the Sierra described below including the extras I wanted like duel alternators, chrome nerf bars and the rear under seat lockable storage, the end MSRP price was $46332.00 the dealer invoice was $40548.00 + Texas state inspection $21.50, I told the salesman we had a deal if he would sale me the truck at invoice and include a Line-X spray in bed liner and not charge us any of the garbage fees and dealer add ons like Doc prep fees, or advertising fees and he agreed so I sent a $500.00 deposit, what made the deal even better was the fact that we ended up getting an extra $1000.00 off the price because the salesman told us the current rebate GM was offering on our Sierra was $1500.00 when it should have been only $500.00, and since we already had the bank check made out for the final price including the $1500.00 rebate quoted us the owner OKed it, so we ended up with a $1500.00 rebate along with my $500.00 deposit an additional $750.00 off because our car was damage during hurricane Ivan, in the end we drove off the lot after paying a final price of $37820.00, if you include the cost of the Line-X bed liner which would have cost me $495.00 + tax along with the extra $1000.00 rebate I guess you could say we bought it for $1500.00 under dealer invoice, the truck with the long bed rides as good if not better then some luxury cars, we put about 1400 on her, and on the ride home which was all interstate driving we got around 17 mpg going the average speeds of between 70 to 80 mph. I think he went to James Wood. I bought mine there and was very happy with the customer service.

James Wood Pontiac/GMC/Chevy in Denton which is just North of Dallas, he also has another dealership located about 40 miles West of Denton, one of the best dealers Ive ever dealt with bar none, no BS sales talk no lies and no beating around the bush, this place is run like all dealerships should be run, you guys in Texas are lucky to have and honest GM run dealership like this, Ill post some pictures as soon as I figure out how to do it.Edited by: BuckeyeQuicky

Sounds cool, there are much better dealerships to go to outside of Dallas than in Dallas. Those "small" town dealers are the best. I am dealing with El Dorado Chevrolet in McKinney which is one county to the east of Denton. It seems to be another no bs dealerships and I drive by it everyday on the way to work. You have to watch those dealers IN Dallas. They think a suppliers discount is on a couple hundred dollars off of MSPR.... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif Edited by: Reineke
