Installed a set of gauges today and SAS when I got done the Check Engine Light came on and is still on after a couple cycles. Onstar said it was a "Powertrain Problem", no specifics. Anyone had this problem or have any ideas?
The gauges are an Isspro pyrometer running off the HJ probe with an amplifier box wired to an Add-a-Circuit on the RR Wiper fuse, an Isspro boost gauge, and an Autometer electric fuel pressure gauge getting its hot signal from the same Add-a-Circuit as the pyro. The lights on all 3 are tapped into the brown/white wire behind the headlight switch, and all 3 have a common ground.
Everything works fine, and I checked the readings against the Attitude and they match. The Juice IS NOT connected at this time, and the bale connector pins ARE OK.
I've never had the CEL come on and can't figure out how in the hell gauges would cause this. Maybe it's just coincidental and there is a problem?
Any thoughts, reccomendations.
